These problems were written by some of my students:
A tarantula can grow up to 14 inches long. A female tarantula lays 102 eggs. One third are eaten. How many are not eaten?

A red wolf killed a rabbit that weighed 4 pounds, a rat that weighed 2 pounds, and a bird that weighed 1½ pounds. If the wolf ate the bird and the rabbit, how much weight would the wolf gain?

A Sumatra tiger is 6½ feet long. The tiger is 2¾ feet high. How much longer is the tiger than it is high?

The Indian pufferfish grows up to 7 inches long and lays 200 to 300 eggs at a time. If a puffer fish lays 300 eggs 17 times over the span of its life, what would the total number of eggs be?

The marbled electric ray is 24 inches long and 12 inches wide. It takes 2 days to recharge after shocking something. If it had to recharge for a total number of 42 days, how many times did it SHOCK?

Leo weighs 12 pounds. The margay weighs 20 pounds. How much more does the margay weigh than Leo?

The kitfox has 7 babies and the Amur leopard has 4 babies. How many litters will they each have to get the same number of babies?

At the Australian zoo a dwarf caiman laid 48 eggs. It lays 4 groups of eggs a year. If 98% of the eggs grow into adults, how many adults could one female produce in 7 years?
If this female lived in the wild and 35% of the eggs survived to hatch and 1/3 of the babies grow up, then how many adults will she produce in 7 years?

An adult anaconda is 33 feet long. How many inches is it?
The baby anaconda was 3 feet long. If the anaconda grows 1 foot each day, how many weeks until it is fully grown?
